We tried to incorporate in this little but very powerful and useful application, functions that will help you in development and design of your flash projects.
We said that Flashtoolset was just the beginning and here we are: with new and improved features.
Flashtoolset came out from the ideas and needs of Easeweb`s design department and that`s why we believe that it will come closer to your real needs and benefits.
Here there are some of the features:
-regular file browser [like windows explorer] - Files like .swf, .fla, .as, .swt, .exe, .spl are highlighted in different colors so you can manage them better. You can also see the file`s flash version and several attributes like: number of frames, frames per second, width, height. Also for the Flash6 files, you can see if the movie was compressed or not.
-preview player window - Preview your swf and projectors as you browse through your files. You can also see the current frame number or position the slider bar to your desired frame number.
-extract resources - Extract multiple images, sounds and movie clips from the selected item with just one click. It`s working even if you have movie clips in movie clips. Please, use this for educational purposes and not to steel others work! Great feature if you have lost your .fla file. Also, with the new release of Macromedia Flash MX you can embedd videos in your .swf. With this Flashtoolset version you`ll just know if a .swf file contains or not embedded videos.
-create CD autorun files - Generates the files required to create a stand-alone presentation that autoplay on a CD. You`ve made a presentation/animation/ecard and you want to put it on CD, this feature will create for you the necessary files so that your files will autoplay when you insert the CD in drive. Also you can attach a custom icon for the CD-ROM drive that will appear after you inserted the CD.
-convert to projector - Convert the selected item into a standalone projector file with your custom icon, then you can send it to your friends/clients and they will not need any plugin/player to view your file(s).
-web publish - Publish and preview the selected item in HTML format. Also PocketPC template is available.
-unprotect - Removes the "protect from import" feature for the selected item.
-news - Access daily updated flash news, with stories from different flash community sites. Every time you have fresh news the icon from the system tray will blink. Also you can set the refresh time and select a custom sound to play when news arrived.
-send email - Send your animated movies attached to your email.
-text fields editor - Edit the internal text fields of the selected .swf file without (re)opening the .fla file. If the text field contains embedded fonts then you`ll be able to insert just those specific fonts.
-actionscript editor - Edit/view your .as files with this powerful actionscript editor. Flash MX syntax highlight is available.
-compress swf - You have an uncompressed Flash6 .swf file? Use this feature to compress your movie and improve download times.
-minimize to tray icon - Minimize your application to (in) system tray so you can access it fast as you need it. Also, the icons blinks if you have new flash news and you can open them by right clicking.
-show only swf files - For a better flash file management you can show only swf format files in the file list.
-properties - If you want to change the frame rate or the flash file dimensions without (re)opening the Macromedia Flash Environment you can change/view these properties with this feature.
-find - Searches for files matching specific criteria like: key&location, date, advanced, flash (version, frame rate, number of frames, width, height). This feature is perfect for searching/previewing swf files from your web browser cache.
-keep aspect ratio - Shows the selected item in the original proportion size.
-full screen - Maximizes window to full screen. There are two fullscreen modes. One with basic controls on top/bottom of the window and the other one with no bars, full window scalable. You can toggle between these two modes with a simple shortcut or with the right click menu. Next time you will select full screen, you will enter directly to the last selected mode.
-toggle high quality - Toggles the quality of the selected item.
-extract swf from projector - Convert the selected standalone projector into a macromedia .swf file. If you have a projector file from a client or you lost the .swf file and all you have is the .exe file, you can extract the .swf file and work with it after that.
