ForceOut ScreenSaver allows you to log out of a Windows session after a predetermined amount of inactivity or idle time.

ForceOut ScreenSavers were originally designed for use in a Windows 2000 domain in conjunction with Group Policy. These screen savers are standalone executables that do not require any configuration or access to the registry.

ForceOut ScreenSaver features
  • Screensavers with auto logoff function
  • 12 screen savers provide auto logoff of sessions idle from 15 seconds to 4 hours
  • No configuration required
  • Supports limited configuration with the use of an optional config file: transparentmode, custom images, custom text, and custom timeout
  • Displays current user and domain and time remaining until logout
  • Does not require write access to the registry
  • Compatible with Windows 2000/2003 Group Policy
  • Helps prevent failed backups due to files being in use
  • Shared computers running screensaver with password protection can be made available after short period of inactivity
  • Idle user sessions automatically logged off can be useful in ensuring accurate auditing domain account use
