SF3 is a package of tools created to help organize, map, and managing photo flight projects and flight lines.

It’s a useful bridge between the engineering/planning process and the flight portion of photogrammetric mapping and survey flight projects.

  • Quick, versatile conversion of coordinates from emails and text sources to a common database format
  • Built-in photo calculators
  • Quick plotting of flight line coordinates on MS MapPoint maps (optional: MapPoint required, available separately)
  • Instant calculation of distances and times to fly to/from projects and on-project time estimates
  • Accurate calculation of exposures per-line and line-distances based on provided coordinates
  • Conversion of coordinates to a variety of formats used in digital mapping packages (ie: .GPX, .RXF, .RTE, etc)
  • Consistent, easy to read flight-plan sheets
  • Flight Plans include times and distances to/from projects and sun angle windows for time-planning.
  • Local weather station contact information for each project, when available
  • Printable street maps from MS MapPoint (optional: MapPoint required, available separately)
  • Printable Film/Project report sheet with key elements of the project
  • Printable pilot’s flight-plan that includes a list of the locations of each line endpoint in reference to VOR stations and airports (SF3 provides the radial and distance of each waypoint from the closest VOR station and airport).*
  • A summary is provided listing the full name of each VOR station and airport referenced. CTAF, tower, approach, and weather frequencies are listed when available — as are details about the largest available runway for each airport referenced *
  • The two closest weather (AWOS/ASOS) stations to the project are listed, including landline dialup numbers.*
