Math ScriptConsole (MSC) lets you do mathematical calculations using scripts and commands in a console-based multiple-window interface.

You can either run single commands interactively or run a batch of commands from a script file. It's an ideal replacement for windows calculator which is too simple for scientists and engineers.

Math ScriptConsole is under the power and flexibility of Microsoft VBScript engine. It includes extra functions and libraries specifically designed for scientists and engineers.

What's more, it's very easy to add your own functions and create your own libraries. Math ScriptConsole has the same scripting and programming capability and console interface as matlab but this one is much lighter and faster to launch than matlab.

Math ScriptConsole is a very good alternative choice if you don't need all the powerful toolboxes in matlab.

In Math ScriptConsole, you can also run DOS commands, shell commands and a set of built-in commands. This can save you the trouble of entering black DOS boxes or opening Windows run dialog.
