Genius Family Tree is a visual, easy-to-use family tree and record keeper.
Genius Family Tree features a graphic visual display and is simple to use.
The family tree screen displays four generations of family members, including parents, grandparents, one partner, up to two siblings, up to four children, and the currently selected person.
Genius Family Tree's navigation is simple: Select any person displayed in the family tree by clicking the mouse (or using the keyboard), and you can view, edit, or print informations. Search for and select an individual by family name or code number.
Genius Family Tree will store details of up to 15,000 people, print eight different reports and generate family web pages from your records.
The notes for each person can contain up to 30,000 characters (about 4,000 words).

A nicely formatted Descendants Chart of up to twelve generations for any person.
A Pedigree Chart for any person displaying 4 generations of ancestors.
A complete List of all people recorded, sorted by Family Name or Person Number.

A List of major family events that have been recorded - sorted by date

·Date Entry Errors are minimised by Genius Family Tree's exclusive date checking feature.
·Date Checking prevents the user making mistakes such as entering a Date of ·Birth that is after a Date of Death, any date that is in the future or a date that makes a person unrealistically old.
·Where a date (or part of a date) is unknown, Genius Family Tree accepts a '?' in place of the unknown day, month or year.
·A persons age is automatically calculated and displayed.
·Genius Family Tree accepts dates in either the 'dd mm yyyy' or 'mm dd yyyy' formats.
Adding New Individuals: When adding a new person, Genius Family Tree gently steers you through the process by asking questions, usually with a 'Yes' or 'No' answer.
This helps reduce errors in adding a new person to a family or modifying relationships.
Quick Keys: You can configure Genius Family Tree to automatically enter up to 10 regularly used names, addresses or any string of characters.
Once configured these can be entered into an input box by pressing a function key.
Change Field Names: To allow Genius Family Tree suit people of different religious faiths and preferences you can modify some of the titles that are displayed on the Add form, edit form and printouts.
The default titles that can be changed are:
